7 Tips For Losing Weight Fast

What is the common thing concerning all people wanting to lose weight? They want to lose weight fast, really fast! We know that losing weight fast is not the ideal way as it may lead to several health problem later on. The methods that are prescribed for quick weight loss are unhealthy and harmful in the long run.

But there are certain things that will help you in losing fast without posing any negative risk on your health. These are:

1. Water Intake

Proper water intake increases the rate of weight loss and also releases excess water that your body might have retained. As long as you maintain the minimum level of water intake, that is, almost 64 ounces of water daily, there will be no problem. You can consume more water if you like but you should not overdo it. Water flushes out harmful toxins from the body also.

2. Avoid Sugar Anyhow

We know that it is difficult to stop having sweets, especially for those who have sweet tooth! However, we need to understand the harmful effects refined white cane sugar has on our body.

Refined sugar increases the glucose level in blood and this results in pancreas secreting more insulin to bring down the increased blood sugar level to normal amounts. This continuous fluctuation is harmful for the body.

In contrast, if you have natural sweets like fruits or Stevia, the presence of sugar in these is really low when compared with refined white cane sugar. Eliminate intake of sugar, including those containing high fructose corn syrup.

What we are suggesting is not to give up sugar completely but replace it with healthier options that won’t make you increase your weight.

3. Reduce Sodium Intake

Have you ever heard people say never to eat raw salt? By raw salt we mean sprinkling additional salt over food and not the one we use when cooking, There is a reason behind this – salt contains sodium and increased intake of sodium makes the body retain water and thus the body feels bulky.

What you should do is reduce sodium intake and it will surely speed up your weight loss. Another reason for reducing sodium is they contribute to hypertension, that is, high blood pressure, and that is disastrous for normal health.

4. Never Starve Yourself

Starving yourself by not eating never works for losing weight. By starving or let’s say, cutting your calorie intake to bare minimum jump starts the body into energy preservation mode and thus you slow down the metabolism rate. If metabolism is slow, weight loss is also slow!

What you should instead do is maintain a healthy amount of low calorie food intake and stay lean. Rather than starving, eat small meals throughout the day at 2-3 hours interval. This will not slow down the metabolism but it will run strong and help in losing weight faster.

You can also include moderate amount of healthy fats like olive oil and avocado in the diet. Low calorie food intake will not make you feel hungry and keep your energy levels high. Most importantly, you won’t indulge in binge eating at all.

5. Weight Training And Cardio Exercises

It has been proven that weight training exercises are good for increasing metabolism, burning fat  and toning up while cardio exercises supplement fat loss.

In fact, when you begin any exercise regime, a good personal trainer will first initiates you in a weight training combined with cardio exercise program rather than the typical cardio for the most part of your weight loss type of program.

How does it work? While an exercise program reduce the calories, weight loss nutrition plans will help in creating ‘calorie deficit’, thus balancing weight loss.

For instance, if you want to reduce one pound, then either you should reduce calorie intake by 3500 calories or use  exercises to burn the calories. But if you were to combine both methods, it will be more effective for your body.

How? You can reduce 250 calorie intake daily (1750 weekly) and also reduce the same amount of calorie through exercises, then by the end of the week, you will have reduced one pound positively.

Remember that there are other factors too which comes into play for weight loss so the amount of weight you lose every week will fluctuate.

6. Increase Fiber Intake

High fiber content food is one of the best ways to reduce weight fast. How?

- High fiber content food will not make us overeat because the foods make us feel fuller.

- Fiber content foods reduces absorption of sugar in the blood and this helps in minimizing blood sugar level fluctuations and also reducing high – glycemic food impact in our body.

- Fiber rich diet “keeps things moving” as it enhanced proper digestion and helps to clean colon and eliminate waste.

7. Stress Reduction

We are aware that in our fast paced life, it is impossible to eliminate stress completely from our life but what we can do positively is to manage stress better and lead a healthier lifestyle.

When we are over stressed, our body releases a hormone called cortisol, which is responsible for body fat accumulation, especially around the mid – section or belly area.

If we manage stress, then it will help us lost weight fast and effectively. For this, we recommend meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises for no more than 10 – 15 minutes daily.
