The main problem with losing weight is slow metabolism. Unknowingly, we tend to do things and eat food that slows down our metabolism rather than increase it.

When the body metabolism is higher, the process of weight loss accelerates. Otherwise, the weight loss process is slow and painful. The problem lies in the unawareness of people in distinguishing what is good for their metabolism and what not!

Take note that increasing metabolism rate is not that hard as it sounds! You should just know the right trigger to press!

Here you can read some beneficial metabolism boosters.

Booster 1

Green Tea – Natural green tea is one the best metabolism boosters. Not only does it help to lose weight but also provides strong immune system to the body as it contains lots of anti – oxidants. You should green tea at least twice a day. Most of us are coffee drinkers but its high caffeine levels is problematic to our body in the context of metabolism. Therefore, increase your metabolism with green tea and lose body fat.

Booster 2

Frequent Eating – One should not cut down on calorie intake abruptly or skip meals to lose weight. This is a misconception that cutting down on meals will help reduce weight but the reaction is quite opposite.

When you cut down on calories or reduce food intake, the body goes into automatic mode of saving energy and thus slows down the metabolism. Therefore, no weight loss happens.

Due to this reason, it is advised to eat small portions of meals frequently, at an interval of 3-4 hours. Cut down on fatty food content. Keep the calorie intake level at a balanced level; completely cutting down calorie is unhealthy.

Booster 3

Lean-Muscle Building – Along with proper diet, it is essential to maintain balance between two types of workouts: cardio exercises and weight training.

While beginners are advised to get used to cardio training like running and aerobics, it is essential to progress to weight training also in the intermediate and advanced level.

Weight training helps in building lean muscles, which further aids in weight loss even when you are not training. You can either hire a physical trainer for workout or purchase high – quality weight training DVDs and workout at home.

Booster 4

Water – All our vital organs need water to sustain and survive. Without water, none of our organs will function properly and dehydration will reduce metabolism rate. Make sure to drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily.

Start your day with a glass of water and if you want, add some lemon juice as it is a natural diuretic. Some people do not like water strangely! For them, they can supplement a portion of water intake with natural juices.

Booster 5

Sugar Intake Reduction – What is fat? Fat is the excess energy which gets stored below the skin folds. Why excess energy? Due to more than required amount of energy intake in the form of sugar and when the body cannot process all the excess sugar levels, its stored automatically for future use.

Now, this future use does not happen because we do not stop sugar intake. Refined sugar intake poses a grave risk in lowering metabolism levels.

However, one can continue having fruits, in moderation. Fruits also contain sugar but the process of utilising natural sugar in fruits is different from refined sugar processing; the second option being more harmful. Therefore, reduce sugar intake at minimum level.

Losing weight is a continuous process. These boosters will help speed up your metabolism and increase the rate at which your body will lose weight.

Follow these booster practices diligently and you can feel the difference in a matter of weeks!
