April Fools’! But… Wait!

As everybody would know, today’s April Fools’ Day and you might have been fooled by a friend, colleague or family member.
……….Or maybe you have not.
………..Or maybe you didn’t even realize that it’s April Fools’ Day?
Anyway… either way, unbeknownst to you, you are most likely already fooled. Yes. Fooled. By whom you might guess.
Well, can I say… YOURSELF?

Happy April Fools’!.. To You!
It’s the 1st of April 2008 and if my mental calculations have not failed me (yet), you’re 25% done with 2008. A quarter of your 2008 (yup, no more 2008 for you for the rest of your life) has whizzed by just like that.

Remember the promises you made on New Year’s eve? The moment the clock was ticking minutes away from the strike of midnight of 2008. Or in other words, your New Year’s resolutions
It might be:
- to lose weight?
- to eat better?
- to get enough sleep?
- to start exercising?
- etc, etc
So, one fourth of the year has passed by and did you stick to it?

Did you even started? Have you been FOOLING yourself (every year)? Saying that you’re gonna start, you’re gonna start …but end up procrastinating every time?
The word ‘resolutions’ alone conjures up images of hard work, big efforts and difficult tasks.
When things get out of hand it’s easy to just give up.
- Why put your shoes on the rack when you’d have to climb over a stack of newspapers to reach it. you might as well just chuck it by the door.
- Why hang your coat up when it’s easier to just place it at the back of a chair?
- Why eat salad when you’re already 20kilos overweight when it’s easier to enjoy pizza or pasta?
- Why exercise and get sore when it’s actually easier to relax on a couch?
Living life with excess weight is like allowing your store room to stay clogged with junk. Yes, we all tell ourselves there’ll be a day when we’re gonna get it cleared. But this mentality applies the same way with how you take care of your health and your body.
Well, the good news is… YOU are not stuck.

It’s never too late to change for the better. The glass is not even half empty yet for 2008. The same way you clean up your store room, where you take some time off and roll up your sleeves and get to work; it applies to your fitness goals too!
And yes I know I’m making it sound easy, but when you approach it this way… it is easy. How do you eat an elephant?
Bit by bit.

(we’ll start with a baby elephant k?)
Beware though: there are 2 ways to approach weight loss and one will leave you discouraged while the other will get you to your goals. Do you want to know these 2 approaches…?
Do you….? Really?
Well not in the way of my restful 8 hours sleep.
ZZZZzzzzzzz…..
You see, one of my 2008 New year’s Resolutions is to get 8 hours of sleep each night and it’s almost my bedtime. If I don’t stop typing, I’ll be breaking it!
So tell you what, stay tuned for my next post where I’ll reveal what they are.
Good night and thanks for understanding!
Happy April Fools’ Day!
